Bio
Character Profile One

Name: Ebenezer Scrooge

Taken from: A Christmas Carol with my own ideas mixed in.

Age: 62

Occupation: Businessman and League fiancier.

Sexuality: Straight.

Physical Description: 5ft 8, bald, hazel eyes, old and wrinkled, Scrooge looks his age if not older. Usually wears black top hat, coat, and pants with a white shirt and carries a walking cane.

Personality: Scrooge is an moody and cantankerous which puts off most people but he is intelligent with a shrew and clever mouth. Easily irritated. Scrooge is not a risk taker and is very cautious of his money and who he deals with. He’ll help both sides just case either one wins

Skills: Intelligent and has many business contacts. Great mind for business and money. He has spies almost everywhere, with his money invested in many ventures. Also sees ghosts who warn him about the future but mostly lecture him about his bad habits.

Weaknesses: He is old and physically weak. Anyone could take this guy out in a fight. He sees spirits, namely the spirit of Jacob Marley and has attacks of guilt which cause him to act out of character, doing rash acts of charity.

Brief History: Ebenezer Lennox Scrooge was born into a respectable family, the oldest out of the two children and had only a younger sister, a sweet girl named Fran. From a young age Scrooge was sent away to a boarding school where he spent most of his childhood and adolescence as his father was cold, impersonal man who rarely bothered with his children and preferred them from underfoot. Once he left school and was apprenticed to the merchant Fezzwig, where he met the two loves of his life. One was his fiancé Belle and the other was money.

Sadly, his love of money outweighed his love of Belle and Scrooge soon lost her to another man when she broke their engagement on Christmas eve. Scrooge then goes on to enter a business partnership with Jacob Marley, swearing off family and love in his quest for wealth. A quest which found both men growing incredibly wealthier as they grew older, Ebenezer having even more money as he was a miser who lived alone, unlike his business partner Marley.

When Marley died, Ebenezer took over their business as the sole owner, cruelly cutting his family out of the business but years later Marley would have his revenge when he came back to Scrooge. At first the spirit tried to make his friend change his ways and with the help of three ghosts they managed to reform Scrooge. However it wasn’t long until the Scrooge was back to his dastardly was once a few months had passed. While he is nowhere near the miser he once was, Scrooge still was a money grubbing, cantankerous old man and that wasn’t about to change completely.

He was involved with Moriarty back in day before the ghosts & the criminal’s near death and once Moriarty reappeared with his league idea, he approached his old friend Scrooge for financial backing. At the time Scrooge didn’t really know the details of what the League was about, believing it more to be a group of Spies who would serve England and himself rather than an elaborate plot to start a war.

Now that Moriarty’s apparently MIA and Scrooge has heard word that one Captain Nemo has taken over the League, he is keeping an eye on the situation for further developments and to make sure he gets his money’s worth out of this investment.

Character Profile Two

Name: Charles Gossett

Taken from: My own mind.

Age: 45

Occupation: Senator.

Sexuality: Straight.

Physical Description: 5ft 10, lean frame, sort of boney. Weathered looking face and mean blue/gray eyes with longish brown hair. Usually wears suits.

Personality: Sly and ruthless, Charles can put up the appearance of a cordial and good-natured man but like all politicians, he’s not to be trusted. Authoritative and proud, Charles likes to think he’s in control and he is in power so when he’s reminded that he’s not, Charles tends to become very moody and angry.

Skills: Has many political and underground contacts, is physically strong and not afraid to get into a fight when he has to, through usually he’ll use his hired goons. Manipulative player, he knows how to present himself to the public as the good guy and to get people to trust him by saying the right thing.

Weaknesses: Cocksure attitude which causes him to underestimate everyone, especially women as he is a chauvinist. Charles also has an overwhelming phobia of getting ill and can’t stand the thought of being around sick people or anywhere he could get sick. His attitude and tendency to act the boss will piss off his higher ups, like Moriarty who will have to remind him who he’s working for. He is also prejudiced and a racist.

Brief History: Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Charles is eldest son of James Gossett, a twisted chauvinist who taught his son his own horrible beliefs through his treatment of Charles mother Abigail and his sister Blanche. He has one younger brother, Richard who he use to be close with but now despises after Richard renounced his lifestyle and entered the priesthood, moving to a strict monastery in Europe. This is why Charles has so much bitterness and anger directed toward Peter and the catholic church in general.

When he was young he got into the gold business like his father before him, taking on the family company and making a name for himself in Georgia. He married when he was in his mid-twenties, an unhappy union between the two as Charles is abusive and promiscuous, cheating on her constantly while his wife, Diane throws herself into her gardening, her dogs, and her drugs. After Charles entered politics and became a senator they rarely saw each and still try to avoid each other whenever possible.

After a few years in office he was approached by James Moriarty, at first because of mutual interest they had in a stock company. Using nefarious methods, the pair made a killing in the stock market and made themselves even wealthier which is when Moriarty turned Charles attention to power and they began to develop their plan to assassinate the president.

They're the sort of men who would:

Take sparrows, dip them in peroxide, and sell them as canaries.

Steal a dead fly from a blind spider.

Cry over your wounds so they can get salt in them.

Throw a drowning man both ends of a rope.

Fold their newspapers so the guy next to them in the bus can only read half the newspaper.

These characters are complete fiction and I don't own Scrooge. Charles Dickens does!
